Recruitment Management

Recruitment management is an application that helps in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees.

Recruitment is the method of searching for qualified candidates for a specific role within the company, and stimulating and encouraging them to apply for that position in that company. It is a well-organized and methodical approach in which a large number of people are given a detailed description of a job opening. A good job description attracts a large number of candidates to apply for that position. When more persons apply for a position, then there will be a scope for recruiting better persons for a specific role. The job applicants too, on the other hand, are in search of companies offering them employment. Recruitment is a Link between those with jobs and those seeking jobs. Higher productivity, better salary and a better reputation are all benefits of a good recruitment process. This encourages people to apply for employment, which is a positive process.

Human Resources Recruitment Process

The recruitment process helps a company in evaluating its present and future needs. It ensures that the daily activities of a company are administered perfectly and provides businesses with all necessary human resources regularly for various job positions. The main aim of recruitment is to create a wide pool of qualified candidates from which one has to choose the most qualified individual for the job. There are two types of recruitment process such as internal like promotion or transfer of staff to another position and external like hiring candidates outside from the company.
Recruitment Management consists of phases mentioned as follows:-

Identifying the Vacancy

First and the most important part is identifying if there is any vacancy for any role in any department of the company. Once a vacancy is identified it is needed to make certain whether the position is required or not, how many employees are needed, part-time or full-time. After evaluating these parameters, one should commence recruitment.

Job Posting

A company lists the requirements for that position like company location, skills required, duration of work, number of openings, etc. This is called a job description. To reach the maximum number of skilled candidates, a company posts job openings on at least several of the major job boards. A good recruitment management system posts open jobs to numerous job boards at once. It allows one to create a company page where one can direct potential candidates to learn more about a company and see all the open positions.

Employment Application

During this stage of the candidate’s application, various questions like his address, contact details, earlier employment details (if any) are asked. Asking certain questions about a candidate’s background or criminal history may be illegal. The Recruitment Management System helps to build the application process and alerts one if a question he/she wants to ask could be illegal.

Applicant Short-listing

When doing recruiting, one would need to filter the applications individually. It is a very important step as it helps to remove unqualified candidates. A Recruitment Management system matches the candidate profile to the job description and ensures they tick the boxes needed for a particular role. It screens candidates for the company, only, notifying one of those that match the company’s open job best. This reduces the time you have to spend screening candidates and ensures that the candidates you do review are of higher quality.

Interview Scheduling

The Recruitment Management System narrows down the candidate pool for a company, then the highest-quality candidates are reviewed. As HR looks through their resumes and applications, they schedule interviews with some of them. The interview may be on location, or telephonic, or video which helps the HR team to connect with the candidates personally. The HR selects several dates and times to interview the candidate.

Onboarding Employees

After recruiting and hiring the highest quality potential candidates for that particular role, the HR shares more details with the employees about their role. The main objective is to assist the new recruits and familiarize them with the company. They may conduct orientation programs for the new recruits; for them understand the company’s needs. It also helps in minimizing their stress and enhancing their overall productivity.
